Live shopping: sell live in your own broadcast

Show the product, answer a question in chat, and the viewer buys while watching. No cut for someone else’s platform and nobody else holding your customer list.

COMMERCE · Live Shopping

Selling live. Your broadcast, your customers, your data.

Live shopping is selling inside a broadcast: you show the product, answer a question in chat, and the viewer buys while still watching. Here it all runs on your own store — not on someone else’s platform that takes a cut of every sale and keeps the customer to itself.

A comment is an order

The viewer types a product code into chat — “A1”, “I’ll take A1”, even “2x A1”. The item is held for 30 minutes and a checkout link arrives in chat and by email. It is deliberately not an instant order: no order can be closed without an address, shipping and accepted terms.

Flash deals with a countdown

A time-limited price on one product, with a countdown everyone sees at once. The strongest tool in the control room — which is exactly why it should not run every five minutes.

Stock visibly running out

Each product shows a “7 of 10 sold” bar that turns red on the last piece. “3 left” states a fact; the bar shows the pace — and pace is what moves a viewer.

Auctions and giveaways

Start an auction on a single item and viewers bid in chat. Giveaways are drawn by the system, so nobody has to take your word for it.

Broadcast from anywhere

Straight from the browser with our LIVE Studio — camera, phone or shared screen. Or via YouTube, Vimeo, Twitch, or a link to Instagram or TikTok. Simulcasting to several networks is included.

Clips keep selling afterwards

Cut a segment about one product out of the recording and attach it to that product’s page. The broadcast ends; the selling continues.

What one broadcast looks like

  1. The day beforeYou create the broadcast, add products, and each gets a short code (A1, A2, B1). You switch on the email reminder and the countdown on your store’s homepage.
  2. First minutesYou pin a chat message: “type the code of the product you want”. Viewers arrive from the reminder and from the simulcast.
  3. DuringYou show a product, fire a flash deal with a countdown, run a poll on “which colour next”. Chat fills with codes and the sold counter climbs.
  4. Last pieceThe product’s bar turns red. That is not decoration — it is the information that decides whether someone buys now or “thinks about it”.
  5. AfterwardsYou end the broadcast, holds either convert or return to stock, you cut clips from the recording, and the orders sit in your list tagged as LIVE.

Why run it on your own store

  • The customer, their orders and their history stay with you — not with a platform.
  • No third party taking a cut of every sale; you pay only the agreed store fee.
  • Customers pay by card, transfer, cash on delivery or TatraPay+ straight to you.
  • Live orders land in the same system as web orders — nothing is retyped by hand.

A viewer who types a product code into chat has the item held for 30 minutes.

Live shopping FAQ

What is live shopping?

Selling inside a broadcast: the seller shows the product live, answers questions in chat and the viewer buys while watching. The order is created in your own store, not in the video.

How does a viewer buy during a broadcast?

Every product has a short code, for example A1. The viewer types it into chat, the item is held for 30 minutes and a checkout link arrives in chat and by email. They can also click the product in the strip under the video.

Why isn’t a comment an order straight away?

An order needs an address, shipping, a payment method and accepted terms. Closing a contract from one word in chat would mean the buyer never saw the shipping cost or the return policy — consumer law does not allow that.

Do I need equipment or an account elsewhere?

No. You can broadcast straight from the browser with LIVE Studio — a camera, phone or shared screen is enough. If you already stream on YouTube, Vimeo, Twitch, Instagram or TikTok, you can attach it and simulcast.

What happens after the broadcast?

Holds either convert into orders or the stock returns to sale. You cut clips per product from the recording and attach them to their pages, so selling continues in the following days.

What does it cost?

You pay an agreed store fee, not a cut of every sale to a third party. Customers pay by card, transfer, cash on delivery or TatraPay+ straight into your account.
